World Water Day

World Water Day, observed annually on March 22 since 1993, is a United Nations initiative that emphasizes the significance of freshwater resources. This day celebrates water while raising awareness about the 2.2 billion people who lack access to safe drinking water. It serves as a call to action to address the global water crisis. A key objective of World Water Day is to advance Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims to ensure water and sanitation for all by 2030.

At the heart of our mission, Global Partners: Running Waters has proudly hosted World Water Day celebrations since 2022. We’ve cherished the opportunity to build partnerships and raise awareness about the vital importance of clean water.
