Project Dedication

The rural indigenous community of Choacamán III, in the municipality of Santa Cruz del Quiché, Quiché, Guatemala, has been dealing with the problem of drinking water for many years. Not having a natural source near their town, they must go to the river to fetch water for their consumption, washing clothes, etc. Untreated water, thus undrinkable, leads to recurrent gastric illnesses and a very poor quality of life. The families of the community, after several group deliberations, have made the firm decision, to implement a drinking water project, partnering with ASUVI and GPRW.
