Since early 2019, families living in the community of Quiejel have had easy access to fresh, clean water. This project was completed through the hard work of the ASUVI (Asociación Unidos por la Vida) team and the generosity of our supporters.

About the Community
A total of 678 people live in the community of Quiejel, Guatemala. It is located in the municipality of Chichicastenango and the department of Quiché, about 20.5 miles from Santa Cruz del Quiché, the department head. They grow corn, beans, peaches, apples, and plums. These crops help provide a daily food source for the families living there. Their houses are adobe with mud-tiled roofs or block with zinc-sheeted roofs.
