Clean, running water and basic sanitation come easily for the majority of the 310 million people living in the United States. However, access to safe drinking water is not something the rest of the world takes for granted. Approximately 884 million people must spend time collecting clean water, and 1.2 billion lack basic sanitation. In Latin America alone, 85 percent of the population lacks running water. But since 2003, we have been able to impact more than 51,000 people with your support.
Our mission is to build relationships that will provide financial resources to rural communities in Latin America and meet their needs for clean water, food, education, and improved health. We offer opportunities for North Americans to experience reality as it is experienced by people in the developing world. Our goal is to build compassion and solidarity.
“I have come that they may have life and life to the full.” John 10:10
"Someday, after wehave mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity we shall harness the energies of love. Then, for the second time in the history of the world man will have discovered fire." Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
GPRW GOALS 1. To create & maintain relationships through opportunities in Latin America & North America, and with collaboration on water, food, education, and health projects.
